Position Title: Frac Crew Treater

Work Location: Parachute, Colorado

Reporting To: Electric Frac Fleet Manager

Position Description:

The Frac Crew Treater, under direct supervision, will be responsible for treating the frac job according to company frac procedure.  Treating the job includes operating the electric frac pumps during the job, as well as collaborating with the field personnel to effectively coordinate daily workflow, delegate roles among operators, and conduct MIRU/RDMO activities of the electric frac equipment. Responsible for safe operations of service equipment, including but not limited to: DME, high pressure electric pumps, boost pumps and/or chemical pumps during the daily scheduled operations. Performs necessary calculations at the well site as needed. Performs data collection and data distribution on jobs as needed. Coordinates the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job. Utilizes competency processes to enhance skills development and job performance. Must be knowledgeable of HSE standards and hydraulic fracturing SOPs. Promotes and contributes to safety awareness and environmental consciousness. Promotes and takes an active part in quality and continuous improvement processes.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Responsible to successfully treat prescribed frac job according to company frac procedure
  • Actively runs electric frac pumps, focusing major responsibilities on equipment operation.
  • Participates in company safety initiatives including daily programs (written documentation, observations, etc.) and adheres to policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and to drive operational excellence.
  • Works as a team to communicate, collaborate, and create strong alignment internally and externally with EFrac Manager and third-party contractors.
  • Complies with all government, industry and TEP regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
  • Ensures necessary equipment is prepared for the job and safety and equipment inspections are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensures all chemicals are properly accounted for, ready for pumping, and safely secured, demonstrating a commitment to safety protocols.
  • Maintains close contact with management ensuring a high-level operational efficiency.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Requirements:

  • Successfully passes a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and other relevant competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance.

Education / Experience Level:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Minimum of 2 years of Lead/Supervisory Hydraulic Fracturing experience
  • Valid Class A CDL or Class A CDL Permit preferred.
  • Satisfactory Driving Record for last 3 years
  • Demonstrated ability to prove high aptitude in technical skillsets and competencies as listed below.

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Attends and successfully completes annual safety and operations recertification training.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts for 14 consecutive days.
  • High mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to receive instruction well and provide coaching and constructive feedback in interactions with other employees in a positive manner, within the framework of assigned work groups.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change and receptive to new instructions.
  • Ability to effectively supervise others towards project completion.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers at the Field level.
  • Ability to deal proactively with work-related problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to make critical decisions aligned with company objectives and goals.
  • Will demonstrate the highest standards of safety and quality in all activities while diligently following prescribed Best Practices.
  • Ability to serve as an example and a general mentor to the entire crew.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this position is eligible to participate in the company’s medical, dental and vision insurance plans, as well as welfare benefits to include life insurance and short and long term disability coverages.  This position is eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) program and is eligible for an annual bonus.  The salary range for the position is $30.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on knowledge, skill, ability, experience, and performance.
